what would the approximate age of that big wide one be? you call it a snyder? would they be used for big game or self defense and war? it looks similar to a european large broadhead or swallowtail shape from medieval times

Consider donating the ax head to a museum. Its very rare to find one intact. From what I saw it more complete than some displayed examples.

U guys prob figured it out by now but that funky arrowhead was a person!! The base was neck one wing was hair. Looked like dude had his mouth open. They would make these figurines to tell stories!!

They used to drill holes in their coins back then to tie them together to keep from losing them or sew them into their clothes in case of being robed

Great to see you guys back on the hunt! Sweet finds fellas. The best silver I've found while hunting is a 1945 Walking Liberty half dollar and a 1926 Peace Dollar. Oh yeah, Kyle it's Charles {Carolus is Latin for Charles} the 3rd of Spain, James is English. Congrats on the finds and looking forward to the next ones!

Hey fellas, I’m from Owensboro. About 40+ Years ago in northeastern Daviess county I also found a Spanish 2 reale silver coin also with a hole drilled at the top. Dated 1776. Eight reales equals a “piece of eight”. So my 2 reale coin is like a quarter to our dollar.😊 From what a could surmise back then, actual American coinage was not made until just about that time period or maybe a little afterward. So either early pioneers in our case, Kentucky….or traders may have carried foreign coinage sometimes on a cord perhaps around their neck. Even possible that local Indians had traded with pioneers and used and carried them as well. I still have the coin displayed among other Indian relics from that site. If you want to see it for comparison let me know. Thanks!
